Originally from Belfast, Hayden has been practising as a counsellor since 2001.
Before this he travelled extensively in
the world, living in many differing
cultures, systems and cities.

He works in a way of bringing awareness and understanding to our thinking, emotional, physical and non-physical/spiritual selves, offering an opportunity to explore these and in turn have active choices in how we want to be in this world.

His model of working is one of an integrative approach; being led by the needs of the person he is working with, whilst being grounded in psychodynamic theory moving into psychosynthesis. He has been an accredited member of the BACP from 2005-2020 and is now an accredited member of the National Counselling Society, he works to their ethical code of practice.

Hayden has worked in a range of statutory and voluntary services, having set up counselling services for both young people and adults. At present he works in private practice in Edinburgh.
